Newsletter for the week of October 8, 2018

JAGUAR CLASSIC RECAP: I want to say congratulations to you all for a strong performance this past Saturday. I am impressed by the growth you have had this past week. Everything you worked on this past week showed up. I want to say thank you to you all for all you have done. We have more work to do, but this was a good first showing. Enjoy this now, because Monday we work to get better.
Parents – Thank you for all you did this weekend. Without you, we are not able to do the things we do. We greatly appreciate you. We have the greatest parents in the world……

UPCOMING CONTEST: We are currently scheduled to compete this coming weekend at East Lincoln High School. Unfortunately, I have a required military function that I am unable to get out of, and due to fact that I have yet to be given a solid schedule from the National Guard for what we are doing this weekend, I am going to have to cancel our performance this weekend. I have thought through all scenarios, and ultimately, this seems to be the best option at this time. Ultimately, I am responsible for the band and need to be at all activities. If I am unable to attend and something happens while the band is under someone else’s watch, I am still responsible. I apologize to you all, but I hope you understand.
With that being said, we will utilize the next two weeks to fine tune some things. This gives us some time to make some adjustments and to get stronger. I am looking at options to possibly throw in another performance (a second contest on a day we are scheduled to go out already). If this seems doable and reasonable, we will try to make this happen.

Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsal schedules are back to normal. Please see schedule below. Ensure your child is at all rehearsals. Their success rate is related to attendance. Any emergency circumstances, appointments, etc. Need to be communicated to me prior to rehearsal so I can plan accordingly.
Boosters Meeting: Our next boosters meeting is slotted for 9 October 2018 (Tuesday) at 6:00 p.m.

Back Drop Props/Front Ensemble Equipment: There are a few back drops that need some wheel replacements. If anyone is willing to take a look at these, we would greatly be appreciative. Also, many of these need to have tires blown up. If anyone has time, we could use some assistance getting these things back into shape for this weekend.
